1. Use BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA Version 2 as a set with KATANA series version 2. Please refer to the 'Using BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA' for detailed information in the [ Owner's Manuals ].
2. A detailed look at the dedicated software editor for the Katana amp series. The free program enables you to choose from and edit 55 different effects including many of the most famous Boss pedals.

The floorboard worked for the most part. Not sure if I'm a fan vs. Will revisit on a rainy night. A few on other forums have mentioned that the Katana is getting a Boss GT-100 makeover with the downloads. Not bad considering that it's a $499 floor multifx unit that can now be put in amp that starts at $199.

Nice, but missing one key feature

I got this amp/app to make it super easy to practice. I practice over backing tracks in the app iReal pro. Everything works for playing with the track wirelessly, but it’s difficult to record. I’d like to be able to record my guitar and backing track on my phone so I can review my playing/improvisation as I practice. I don’t want to hook the amps line out to a computer because it defeats the purpose of a convenient small practice amp. I can’t use apples voice memo app without the Bluetooth backing track stopping playing from the amp and coming out of the phone. It would be nice is the app contained a feature that would allow you to record both the guitar and the backing track for practice purposes.
Update: the amp makes a clicking sound kinda like interference but at a lower frequency than normal. Very distracting when I’m trying to practice.

Confusing interface

The amp sounds great but this review is for the app and I find it very confusing to edit the effects. It’s not intuitive at all and that maybe because you can assign 3 effects to one slot and cycle through them. That also makes the amp not the best choice for “live sessions in the living room”. That again is a property of the amp, not the app.
I also wish I wouldn’t have connect the app via Bluetooth every time I pick up the guitar. It goes against the feature of “just pick it up and play”.
I also have not found a decent manual for the app. There is one but it doesn’t explain how to use the app in a “best practice” matter. It tells you what the buttons are for.

This is missing just a couple things

I love my Katana Air and the app is pretty good too, but I’d love to see a couple enhancements to make managing and creating sounds a lot easier.
First, I’d like to be able to edit a sound from the library and save that sound directly to a library liveset. Being able to only edit presets on the Katana and juggle them around in the app is time consuming and bothersome.
Also, it would be nice to be able to “push” the current state of the panel preset to a library liveset. Again, juggling presets back and forth just to create a new sound and keep the current Katana liveset is irksome.

Hi. This is a place where you can get some new custom made sound for your Boss multi effects processor. All created presets has been tested and fine tuned through Boss Katana-100 guitar amplifier speaker. At present our live-set.tsl format patches match for Boss GT-100 or GT-001 devices.

Here is not an endless database, but just a small guitar sound boutique. Our goal is not to offer a huge collection of sounds, while only a little amount of decent original creations.

We try to keep it pretty easy to explore and download the exposition. Simply pick up some Boss GT patches. The content will be enhanced continuously by adding newly created patches.

Feel free to walk through the website and download patches such you like. We hope you would find some useful stuff here, which helps your guitar (or other stringed instrument) sound better. And you are welcome back anytime to check out the improvements.

The patches are composed and fine tuned individually as Custom Patches with Boss GT-100 guitar amp effects processor. Each created live set includes 4 variations from the same sound for 1 unit bank. Patches are usable with GT-100 as well GT-001 devices, just if you have one of these.

EXAMPLE SOUNDS

Audio examples may listen by each patch set. Created as line in recordings with Cakewalk Sonar Pro DAW software. So, though the actual sound may be heard a little different from depending your guitar and gear. In all probability these sounds a bit better and more plentiful in a live situation.
